Milk Matters is a community-based Milk Bank located in Cape Town, South Africa.

Breastmilk donors need to be situated in Cape Town and surrounding areas, including various towns in the Western Cape.

Milk Matters head office is in Mowbray, Cape Town and in addition there are 25 Milk Matters depots, where donors can collect sterile containers or drop off batches of frozen breastmilk.

IQs higher and childhood obesity lower in breastfed babies...
In addition to lowering the risk of childhood obesity, scientists believe breast milk may boost IQ in nursing infants. Their IQs may even reach 8 points higher than babies who aren’t breast fed, especially in verbal evaluations. It’s a two-part hypothesis: the nutrients in breast milk help brain development and mental skills while the actual act of breast feeding is an intimate experience that aids baby development too.
