This policy explains how Milk Matters collects, uses, stores, and protects personal and health information of donors, recipients, and stakeholders involved in our milk banking operations.

Milk Matters may collect information about adults and babies, including but not limited to:

  • Identity information including but not limited to names, identity numbers, passport numbers and hospital file numbers.
  • Personal information such as age, date of birth, and demographic information.
  • Contact information including but not limited to telephone numbers, email addresses and location information.
  • Medical and lifestyle information including but not limited to past and current medical and lifestyle information and screening test results.

Why Milk Matters Collects Your Information

Milk Matters collects this information to:

  • Screen and qualify milk donors and recipients
  • Ensure safe screening, processing, and distribution of donor milk
  • Maintain traceability and quality assurance
  • Comply with legislative requirements, health regulations and milk bank standards

Disclosure of Your Information

Milk Matters may disclose your personal information if:

  • Authorised to do so by law.
  • You have provided consent.
  • It is required for proper medical treatment and care.
  • It is required by regulatory bodies, e.g. Dept. of Health
